You will be responsible for driving incremental sales growth throughout the Northeast region by building new sales relationships and expanding existing revenues from existing accounts. Identifying, developing and motivating rep organizations are a key expectation.    You will work with dealers, distributors, rep groups and influencers to spread the word about our new products. In particular, specifying Architects and Lighting Designers drive your sales success.  Salary based on experience plus attractive incentive plan and benefits.

 Duties 
-Meet and exceed performance objectives
-Field all in-coming calls from prospects in assigned territories
-Build relationships with key buyers, influencers and reps in territory
-Fully utilize and maintain an up-to-date summary of selling activities and conversations in the CRM        database, including calendar, sales pipeline, account profile and day-to-day sales contact activities
-Develop account growth plans for key accounts. 
-Develop prospects, quote prices and administer sales in assigned territories
-Participate in one on one, phone and in person sales meetings as requested
-Exhibit and/or attend trade shows as required
-Assist in preparing annual sales forecast
-Oversee the development and timely delivery of quotes to new customers and for new items to existing customers with excellent follow-up.
-Conduct research to identify and qualify prospective clients
-Re-establish relationships with dormant customers to recover lost business
-Provide an appropriate amount of technical assistance to resolve customer complaints before transferring to the proper department
-Maintain timely follow-ups on quotations, documenting why and to whom Altman lost the business
-50% travel (overnight) expectation based on the need to meet with existing customers and new prospects with strategic importance to the business
 

Education, Experience and Skills Required 
-
5 + years experience in lighting sales
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Self-motivated
-Organizational skills
-Computer literate
-Knowledge and use of CRM systems

Customer Service Player To Help Us Win
 

Altman Lighting, a leading manufacturer of theatrical and architectural products, is seeking a motivated Customer Service representative to join our team.  This role requires significant contact with both customers and the sales force.  You will problem solve, follow up on inquiries and orders, perform customer research, provide shipping information, respond to configuration and technical questions and involve other Altman employees as necessary.  

You will also have work closely with the Altman sales team to drive success. Successful applicants are well spoken and come wired to be helpful and responsive.  You are able to think three steps ahead to avoid problems and ensure customer care.  You are technically adept, emotionally agile and perform with a excellent attention to accuracy.  The right Customer Service candidate is a fast learner and a team player.

Software agility, keyboard skills and the ability to write well are crucial in this role.  

-Hours: M-F, 9-5pm (flexible hours available)
-Experience:  Minimum of two years of customer service experience
-Lighting experience preferable but not necessary
-College:  Preferred but not necessary.
