In order to better serve our customers, resellers, and business partners with online order entry, order
tracking, and other useful tools in the future, Altman Lighting utilizes
several advanced CRM technologies on its website that may be incompatible with
non-Internet Explorer browsers. A known issue is that some
functions of the website utilize vbscripts that are only compatible with
Internet Explorer for PC's with Microsoft Windows.
Users of Apple MAC OS X, Netscape Navigator, Firefox, Opera and other browsers will experience "VBscript errors"
when attempting to view documents directly from the Altman online
catalog. This issue is beyond our control but we have
provided work-arounds. The first known limitation at the present time is the inability to access documents (product data sheet and parts manual drawing *pdf's) directly from the online products catalog. It is for this reason that we have included a Documents link on the left navigation bar for non- Internet Explorer users. The documents link simply bypasses the vbscript function and retrieves the same documents you would get if the catalog. The picture below illustrates where this situation occurs. Should you encounter this, use the documents link above or on the left navigation bar.
The second known limitation is the inability to display the World map on the Dealer Locator link. You will experience a "Please Wait..." image while which never loads, but the countries and states are available to you by simply scrolling down the page. We are addressing this issue with our software vendor. Get Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 or higher
